Out of solutions to E_STREAM_ERROR problem
I have been searching the forum (and the internet as a whole) for a solution to my problem and, so far, no luck.
I have repeatedly tried to download .acsm files from the ebrary website and each time receive the following error message:
"Error getting License. License Server Communication Problem: E_STREAM_ERROR"
Solutions I have tried:
Replacing ADE 2.0 with ADE 1.7.2 (received the same message)
Using Internet Explorer instead of Google Chrome
Disabling all firewalls
Deauthorizing and Reauthorizing account in ADE
Uninstalling and reinstalling ADE
I am using Windows 7 and running Adobe Digital Editions 2.0, downloading through Google Chrome. I am doing all of this from Dakar, Senegal, if there is a chance that makes a difference, using internet run off of a USB key.

This book has been returned. Loan not on record
I've used Adobe Dig Ed on a Windows XP computer for years with no problems. I recently switched over to Windows 8.1, and reinstalled Adobe DE, and went through the authorization step for the computer. Then I downloaded two books from the library, and read them with no problems. However, the next time I tried I ran into problems. I am able to download the books to Adobe DE. I can open the books in Adobe DE (but it would be tough to read in ADE on the computer, because of no formating). I can copy the books to my nook, the same way I always have, and they show up in my nook. But when I try to open in Nook, I get "Error dialog - This book has been returned. Loan not on record".
I turned off Virus protection and tried again, with same results.
Any help?

What does this mean. I was able to download a book last week and now I get this error. Does it have anything to do with the latest Firefox version?
Yep it was the computer date/time that was not correct. Once that was corrected everything worked perfectly.

Trouble adding epub and pdf files to Kobo Glo
Hi there,
I've recently downloaded some epub and pdf ebooks that I want to add to my kobo glo. I'm using a macbook pro computer with OS 10.7. I've searched online forums that tell me that I can just drag and drop pdf and epub files on to the KOBOereader that pops up in my devices. I have done this and ejected the kobo but when I power it up these ebooks are apparently no where on the device. I then followed the instructions on how to add ebooks using ADE 2.0. I authorized my computer to read adobe DRM files under the same email that I set up my kobo with. I plugged in my kobo glo and clicked on connect and the device is recognized in ADE. I authorized the device and drag-and-dropped the files on to the ereader. They apparently transferred over fine and when I open the device in my finder window I see the digital editions folder that contains the files. I eject the device and power up but the files stll do not appear in my library on the ereader. The only files that appear are the ones that I have bought from the Kobo desktop store and loaded on to it through the Kobo desktop app. I also want to note that I do not see the ebooks that I have purchased from kobo on the device when I click on it in ADE. Any help as to fixing my problem is greatly appreciated.

I can't open ACSM File because "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER"..but suggestion doesn't work
So I couldn't seem to download ebooks from the library suddenly using ACSM files. I kept getting the error "E Adapt too short"
I tried everything but nothing seemed to work.
So I attempted to uninstall and re-install ADE but all I get is "E_LIC_ALREADY_FULFILLED_BY_ANOTHER_USER" every time I try to download the ACSM file.
I followed every uninstall tip to a tee but nothing seems to work. In particular, I can't seem to find these:
"5. Remove only the structures that are under the "SOFTWARE" extensions. This will remove the Adobe ID / License and Activation Key
6. Clear any outstanding tasks that may be associated to Adobe Digital Editions downloads
- C:\data\my digital editions (don't exist in my c:\ drive)
- C:\my documents\my digital editions(don't exist in my c:\ drive
7. Delete any documents within these folders:
- Restore > Tasks
- Restore > Failed"
That's my only guess as to why my reinstall attempts aren't working keep getting this error.
Can anyone help me?
I've tried restalling ADE it and then authorizing with Adobe ID but same error occurred.
I also tried to reinstall but with no authorization and still the same error
None of this makes any sense. ADE has been working fine for months and all of the sudden it craps out on me?
Can someone PLEASE help.

ADE in Android?
Is it possible to read files protected with ADE on an Android phone? My local library has an ebook service, but they're all ADE ePub or PDF. I'd really like to borrow them. I have fbreader, but it won't touch Adobe's drm, obviously.

Installing Adobe Digital Editions 2. on a Mac
I am having trouble opening this download on my Mac, I have dowloaded it 3 times just in case there was an error, but all times I get an error message "Error getting license. License Server Communication Problem E_ACT_NOT_READY'

I can't open ACSM File
I can't open my ACSM File with my Adobe Digital Editions Program. Every time i try the Program closed and i can't open the program again until i delete the acsm File in my Finder.
What is the problem and how can i fix it?

unable to erase authorisation. please try after some time
spent the last few hours trying to get ADE v4 to work every time i download and .acsm file ADE activation error ... i tried to erase authorisation and but keeps getting a error message "unable to erase authorisation. please try after some time"

How do i authorize my NOOK COLOR on ADE?
I have never had rthis issue before. Tried to download a book from Overdrive.com (borrowed book from my library). When I click on Download, I get this message:
"This Title has been activated using a different ID. Try registering this device with the ID you originally used to download the title. (Adobe ID error)"
I've not changed anything that should cause this OTHER THAN, I bought a Surface 2; have NO IDEA how, but the book downloaded onto the Surface tablet?!?!? I DON'T WANT IT THERE. i WANT TO READ IT ON MY nOOK AS I ALWAYS HAVE. help, please

Error: Check Activation and Error with deautorization
I installed ADE 4.5 on my PC. Every time I try to open an urllink.acsm I get the message: "Error! Check Activation". My PC ist autorized with my ID. I guess that the solution is to deautorize my PC and then to re-autorize it. Unfortunately, every time I try the deautorization I get the message "deautorization isn't possible. Try it later"... What can I do now? Thanks!

Another reader Windows EPub?
Is there another reader for EPub Fixed Lay out than Digital Editions for Windows? Digital Editions don't let the text see the way it should.
I know the Online Publishing, but I want a reader, just like Acrobat Reader that shows the document offline.

I have a Kobo authorization question, please!
My Kobo e-reader was functioning very well with Adobe and library books - then suddenly my content was locked! the message on my e-reader is that I need to authorize my e-reader with Adobe, but when I plug it in, Adobe does not offer me the option to set it up, it just appears in my library view. I can't figure out how to re-authorize. Can anyone help me? I'm feeling a little desperate here!

Can't copy saved book to E-reader??!!
I have bought a book and have managed to save it onto ADE, however, It won't allow me to 'drag' it into my e-reader - a box appears saying "Unable to copy - No permission to copy document here".
Any suggestions?

Hallo Zusammen,
Ich habe von meiner Tochter das Tablet zweimal zur Reparatur gehabt und immer vorher ´nen Werksreset durchgeführt. Mein eigenes Handy habe ich auch zweimal (einmal nach dem rooten und kürzlich durch das aufspielen von Android 4.1) resettet. Diese Geräte sind nun warscheinlich doppelt bzw. mehrfach gelistet, da ich nun die Fehlermeldung bekomme "zu viele Anmeldungen".
Wo finde ich diese Geräteliste? Ich kann mich ja nun schlecht selber am Gerät abmelden.
Wie groß darf eine Familie sein? Ich habe gelesen, dass max. 6 Geräte angemeldet werden dürfen.
Ein Link auf die Geräteliste wäre Klasse.
